Siam City Cement Public Company Limited (SCCC), represented by Khun Montri Nithikul (far right), CEO of Thailand Cement Business, donated 105 tons of low carbon cement "INSEE Super" to support the Ministry of Labour’s 2025 construction skills development activities. The donation ceremony was held at the Ministry’s conference room and presided over by Khun Phiphat Ratchakitprakarn (third from left), Minister of Labour.
SCCC reaffirmed its long-standing commitment to workforce development by donating over 110 tons of cement in 2024 to support training programs under the Department of Skill Development. These programs were conducted across 22 provinces and benefitted more than 559 participants nationwide.
As part of its broader social responsibility efforts, SCCC also organized practical training workshops under the “INSEE Construction 4.0” initiative. The program was designed to enhance construction skills and technical knowledge among local workers. Evaluation of the program’s impact revealed that previously unemployed trainees were able to secure jobs with an average income of 300 baht per day, while skilled workers improved their earnings to approximately 400 baht per day.
The partnership between Siam City Cement and the Department of Skill Development has spanned more than 25 years, with over 26,000 individuals trained to date. This initiative strengthens construction skills among Thai workers, increases income opportunities, and helps reduce unemployment at both the community and national levels. It also supports the company’s CSR commitment under the INSEE Sustainability Ambition 2030.
