Siam City Cement Leads Biodiversity and Carbon Reduction Efforts with Tree Planting Initiative in Partnership with Pruksa Holding and Diamond Building Products
Siam City Cement Public Comapny Limited recently joined hands with our business partners, Pruksa Holding Public Company Limited and Diamond Building Products Public Company Limited, in our “Planting for a Better World” initiative.
Together, we planted 100 royally sponsored black plum trees we proudly recieved from the Chaipattana Foundation to help restore our limestone quarry, increase green spaces, and reduce our carbon footprint. This project is a testament to our commitment to both biodiversity preservation and carbon footprint reduction. By reintroducing native tree species, we’re creating a thriving habitat for local wildlife while reducing CO₂ emissions—working toward a resilient, low-carbon ecosystem that supports sustainable development.
Our executives, including Mr. Montri Nithikul, CEO of Cement Business in Thailand, led the planting efforts. Joining us were Mr. Sitthichai Siriuvithtaya, SVP of Commercial, and Mr. Serefin Bugeja, SVP of Saraburi Operations, alongside our business partners, Mr. Udomsak Yamnoon from Pruksa, and Mr. Sunthorn Suwannajade from Diamond Building Products, as well as our dedicated employees from all three organizations.
