On July 27th, 2023, INSEE Vietnam organized a Handover Ceremony in Binh An and Binh Tri communes, Kien Luong district, Kien Giang province for 2 low-income houses. This is the project that is kicked-off by INSEE since the beginning of 2023, which aims to provide homes for disadvantaged households, officially handed over to homeowners with the presence of local authorities and supportive partners.
For almost 30 years of having a plant operating in Kien Luong district, Kien Giang province, INSEE understands thoroughly of the living conditions in the local community. Many households are living in makeshift houses, which pose numerous risks to their family members, including the elderly and children. For this reason, INSEE organized the construction of Low-income houses over many years, in collaboration with local authorities to actualize the transformation of severely deteriorated homes. From the beginning of 2023, the project of building 5 Low-income houses commenced, with the main sponsorship from INSEE Vietnam, accompanied by co-sponsors included NS BlueScope Vietnam Co., Ltd, Nippon Paint (Vietnam) Co., Ltd. and LIXIL Vietnam Co., Ltd.
Specifically, Mrs. Tran Thi Ly - 72 years old, lives alone in a severely damaged corrugated iron house in Ba Nui hamlet, Binh An commune, Kien Luong district. In the afternoon of July 27th, 2023, INSEE, in collaboration with local leaders and partners, officially handed over the spacious and secure house to her. When she entered her new house, which had transformed completely, she was overwhelmed with emotion and expressed her gratitude for providing her with a proper place to call home.

In the Handover Ceremony of 2 Join-effort houses, Mr. Vladimir Kouzmine - Director of INSEE Hon Chong Cement Plant had a few words to share: “CSR is one of the core pillars at INSEE in Vietnam and to be more specific, in Kien Luong district, Kien Giang province, where the Hon Chong Cement Plant is operating. Although I just came to Vietnam and have working for less than a year, I can understand that in the Vietnamese culture - “A house is a home”. “A home” with them is deeply meaningful, this is the place where they can settle down and support to build better future for next generations. When I saw the pictures of these dilapidated houses in the proposal, I was dumbfounded. I cannot fathom how they can live in such houses for so long. Hence, we have worked closely and received enthusiastic support from the local authorities to implement the project of building 5 Low-income houses this year.”
During this time, INSEE volunteers also dedicated their working days to build 2 houses in Kien Luong town and Duong Hoa commune, to ensure their timely completion. This is also one of the activities that INSEE has maintained for many years to create value for the community. Additionally, construction on the fifth house in Kien Binh commune has also commenced.
With the brand philosophy of “Build for Life", INSEE is constantly striving to bring meaningful initiative to the community with the goal of improving people's quality of life day by day.
