Signing of an agreement with BOI and INSEE Ecocycle to dispose solid waste generated at Katunayake Export Processing Zone (KEPZ) for another 5 years till 2023.

This agreement augmented INSEE Ecocycle’s sustainable waste management operation at Katunayake pre-processing facility until 2035 which carried out during the last 10 years successfully.

INSEE Ecocycle pre-processing facility, Katunayake plays a vital role in the company as its strategic hub for industrial servicing, hazardous waste pre-treatment, laboratory analysis & waste logistics by serving more than 850 manufacturing installations in the country.

INSEE Ecocycle has already signed agreements to handle total waste at BOI zones including Seethawaka EPZ,Wathupitiwela EPZ,Biyagama EPZ, Mirigama EPZ,Koggala EPZ ,Pallekele EPZ through the cement kiln co-processing.

Director General (DG) of Board of Investment Sri Lanka Mr.Sanjaya Mohottala ,Chief Financial Officer of Siam City Cement (Lanka) Limited Mr.Bruno Pitzini and Director of INSEE Ecocycle Lanka (Private) Limited Mr. Sanjeewa Chulakumara and other officials from INSEE signing the agreement at BOI head office.
