ONE OF THE MOST MODERN CEMENT KILNS

SCCC built kiln no. 5 in 1992 and kiln no. 6 later in 1996. Each with a capacity of 10,000 tons of clinker per day. Also known as one of the most modern cement kilns in the world. Compared to other kilns in the world, to date, these two kilns have an excellent Overall Equipment Efficiency (OEE).

WASTE HEAT RECOVERY SYSTEM

Kiln no. 4 at SCCC was the first cement manufacturer to recycle waste gas from the clinker cooler to generate electrical power, achieving a target of 11 megawatts. The two main objectives of this system were:
  • To produce cost savings in use of the normal electrical energy.
  • To reduce indirect CO2 emissions sustained with normal fuel use (i.e. lignite or coal etc.)
This is a practical example of sustainable development in accordance with the concept of ISO 14001 system for continuous improvement.

SEPARATOR IMPROVEMENT

In order to improve the production efficiency, our engineer team has initiated develope methods of process to replace the static separator with the dynamic separator. Result in an improvement of 15% of production increase and a specific electric consumption reduction of 2-4 Kwh/t

FUZZY LOGIC CONTROL SYSTEM

Computerized systems have been used to support all process from line no.1 to 6. In order to make the quantity and quality certifiable as defined by government identification.

LEARNING AND DEVELOPMENT

SCCC has opened an opportunity for everyone to learn and develop their skills and knowledge using concept of Knowledge Management and Learning Organization. Our employees will learn from working and transferring experiences together. We provide a Technical Learning Center which uses IT systems to support Learning Anywhere and Anytime.
