As the only fully integrated cement manufacturer in Sri Lanka with ‘Green Cement’ certification, INSEE Cement continues to proactively address the challenge of minimising environmental impact through the optimisation of products and processes through the culmination of years of research, sustainable construction practices, and strategic investment in expertise and technology.

INSEE Cement currently records the lowest carbon emissions in cement production in Sri Lanka, with the mother company being an active member of the global Cement Sustainability Initiative (CSI). The Sanstha brand was Sri Lanka’s first cement product to be awarded the green labelling certification by the Green Building Council, and is produced with 7KG less CO2 emissions per bag. INSEE Cement was also presented with the Green Platinum Award at the educational and environmental exhibition ‘Haritha Sihinaya 2017’ by His Excellency President Maithripala Sirisena as recognition for the company’s practical approach toward sustainable constructions.

Our parent company – Siam City Cement Public Company Limited (SCCC) has adapted and progressed to serve the construction needs of the region. Through our INSEE brand, we provide a range of cement, Ready-Mix Concrete, construction aggregates, and solutions to meet the needs of various countries in the region. This includes Cambodia, Bangladesh, Vietnam, Indonesia, Thailand, and Sri Lanka. The cement manufacturing facility SCCC in Saraburi, Thailand, is the world’s largest cement production complex.

SCCC draws from accumulated expertise and knowledge over decades of operation, and is strongly focused on investing in rapidly advancing regional markets such as Sri Lanka, which show great promise in sustainable construction.

INSEE Cement or Siam City Cement (Lanka) Limited, is a member of the Siam City Cement Public Company Limited (SCCC), a leading cement manufacturer in Southeast Asia, that was founded in Thailand in 1969. INSEE Cement manufactures INSEE branded Sanstha, Mahaweli Marine Plus, INSEE Rapid Flow Plus and INSEE Extra Cement. INSEE Cement is the first certified ‘Green Cement’ in Sri Lanka with the Green Labelling certification awarded by the Green Building Council. The company is the only fully integrated cement manufacturer in Sri Lanka.

Today, as Sri Lanka’s sole cement manufacturer, it operates three key local facilities in Puttalam, Galle and Colombo. The Puttalam Cement Plant is the only fully integrated cement manufacturing plant in Sri Lanka, and the grinding plant is located in Galle port offering fresh cement, with higher strength and consistency.

INSEE Cement has two terminals at the Colombo Port and Galle Port holding the capacity to consistently supply to our customers as per their changing demands.

The company has consolidated its position as the most preferred local manufacturer of cement in Sri Lanka, with its widespread distribution network comprising over 9000 retail dealers across the country.
