INSEE Ecocycle Participates in Sea of Solutions 2024 to Tackle Plastic Pollution

18.09.2024

INSEE Ecocycle participated in the Sea of Solutions 2024, held from 18-19 September at the United Nations ESCAP in Bangkok. This flagship event brings together global leaders and innovators to develop partnerships aimed at tackling plastic pollution at its source.

As part of its commitment to sustainability, INSEE Ecocycle highlighted its involvement in the OPTOCE project—an initiative under the Norwegian Development Programme to Combat Marine Litter and Microplastics. Led by SINTEF, one of Europe’s largest independent research institutes, OPTOCE seeks to explore the potential of co-processing non-recyclable plastics in cement kiln. The pilot's results showed how the involvement of the Thai cement industry has high potential to help solve non-recyclable plastic waste management issues, much of which would otherwise leak and end up in the ocean.

INSEE Ecocycle is committed to being a partner in sustainability, helping customers and partners improve their environmental footprint through better waste and materials management and achieve sustainability goals.
